Your Talkin Crazy MAN!
Yesterday we packed and met Marie-Claude,she gave us french lessons and taught us french card games. Nelson was very beautiful, it was our last day in nelson so we decided to apperictae the scenery, its a very beautiful place with green mountain sides, blue water and yellow sand......and a HUGE...red bridge!. As Nelson is a small place it didn't take long for us to appreciate the scenery so we got an icecream afterwards. We phoned Cranbrook and found out the hostel did not open when we were due to arrive so already we had started to panic. We hung around for the greyhound coach which as usual we arrived two hours early for. Durning this wait we managed to devour a whole loaf of bread which was not so good. The bus driver looked the spitting image of Wario. The greyhound set off and it was full off rag tags including ourselves. Within the first ten minutes steff had been offered some jeigermeister from the hippy sitting opposite her on a non drinking bus...great!...this was the start of an eventful journey, this was a clearly a sign to show how the journey would be. As the journey continued so did the mans drunkness pyhcotic behaviour, he began preaching about peace and love and calling everyone brothers and sisters then he began (suprisingly well) playing the harmonica. As the bus rolled into its first stop Emily jumped off the bus to get some dinner while Steff looked after the bags in the seat, Emily returend to see the drunkard had occupied the seat next to Steff, steff looked terrified. He wasn't even speaking english, he was speaking in gibberish clearly he was semi pyhcototic and not just a drunk, he smelt really bad and had grass in his hair, while remaining calm we were patiently talking to him hoping he would go away. After 10 minutes of talking to him, the bus driver beckoned for him to approach the front of the bus. The bus driver asked him to leave the bus, next minute he was being abusive and rolling about on the floor and shouting at the bus, even tho the bus driver wasn't on the bus. The police shortly arrived to remove the man and his stuff, and the whole bus breathed a sigh of relief. The journey contiuned...where a man mistook Steff and I as twins..i was very flattered. The sun began to fade and we were approaching Cranbrook..tired and wanting a bed! the night staff never answered his phone so we were panicking even more but there was a guy waiting with the hostel door open for us. We were very thankful and he gave us our room keys and we were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows after a stressful and eventful day.:D
